Jun 05, 06 | REU to EU

Today the Research Experience for Undergrads (REU) program began in the physics department. During the program, it is my job to shepherd the participants through registration, plan group activities, and fetch lunches twice a week. Thus far this has not been very difficult; all the incoming participants have been very friendly; and luckily most are over 21. My research continues to go well, in the essence that I still very much enjoy doing it. Results are varied.

I am going to continue with this job until the 25th when I leave for Tulsa for Summer Solstice. Afterwards, I plan to stay at my parent’s new house in Collinsville until I finally leave for Europe on the 28th. I fly in to Amsterdam and will right away be on a train for Belgium en route to see the Flaming Lips in Ferrara, Italy. I am ridiculously excited.

Hey, I’m glad you looked here. I really set it up this way for you and my friends so that I may post stuff while I am abroad. I should be able to just email a certain address and have it automatically post it. Hopefully that works.
