Well I am definitely back. All the pictures from the trip are up. I had surgery and that went alright. I am now in the process of recovering, which will be a long one. Though I can already ride a bike. Which brings up a funny story:
My freshman year (Fall 2003), my sister granted me with a bike that she won through a cafeteria contest at her school, TCU. Since it was free she was happy to give it to me, and I was happy to receive it. Unfortunately, after only a month of use, it was stolen. No good.
About another month later, I was walking to my own cafeteria when I noticed a bike parked outside without a lock which resembled my lost bike. After further inspection, I decided that yes, this was my bike. For a second I thought about confronting the jerk who took the bike, but back then I was pretty non-confrontational, so I just took it and locked it back up.
Again, one month later, I went down stairs from my dorm room, looked at the bike rack, and my bike was gone. Damn. This time I wasn’t as upset since it had happened to me once before, and I was used to the feeling.
THREE YEARS LATER, that is, a week ago, I was walking past the library perusing the bike parking when I noticed a slightly rusty bike in the corner of the lot. An image from my past flashed into my head. Could it really be my bike after three years? I got out the key that which had loyally hung on my keychain for a time such as this. It was a match. Amazing.
So now, I have a bike.

Hmm… You seemed to have skipped over an important part of this story… The bike wasn’t stolen the second time, was it?! THREE YEARS!! I can’t believe you’d forget that poor bike for so long…
I love you, though, and I’m glad it’s back in your possession. Please post pictures of the new hairy creature in your life – I want to see him!!
