May 26, 08 | What’s Been Happening to Me?
A new post hasn’t appeared here since December 07. Clearly it has been a busy semester. Several very big things have happened.
To begin, I got a new TV thanks to an insurance settlement from a guy who hit me with his car while I was riding my bike.
Next, after five years, I have graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Physics and Mathematics. Thank God. OU has been great, and I would recommend it to any prospective student for a top quality education for next to nothing (compared to the rest of the country). I want to thank everyone who supported me through this endeavor, especially my parents who were way too kind to me for graduation:
I know right? I love it. I’ve already driven it over a thousand miles and the gas mileage is just plain fantastic.
Also this semester, I was accepted into the University of Illinois -Champaign/Urbana for graduate school in condensed matter theory. However, I am defering the offer for a year in order to work, earn, think, and wait (for Mary). The decision on where to go was an easy one after I visited each program into I was accepted. On the other hand, the decision to defer was not so straightforward. Nevertheless, I am very happy with all my decisions and look forward to the upcoming year and years.
Finally, last week I saw Radiohead. It was amazing. I mean wow. Here are some videos a more prepared person took at the concert:

In other news, you may notice etano.net looks different. This is because of the bored limbo into which I fell immediately following graduation and prior to returning to Los Alamos for the summer. Hopefully, new posts will be more regular this summer to keep people updated on my general status.
