I am the product of free public education.
My | Background
As a physics and math graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I enjoy solving difficult problems, mindless programming, and spending countless hours absorbing the Internet.
To keep myself from collapsing into oblivion like a dying star, I play a lot of frisbee, take pictures, spend time with my lovely girlfriend, annoy my cat, and occasionally cerebrate.
My work has ranged from sales associate to web designer to condensed matter physicist. I am an employee at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where I conduct research modeling V1 edge detectors in the primary visual cortex.
For the time being, I am comfortably residing in the limbo between college, graduate school, and the real world.
This | Website
This site is devoted to personal musings, discoveries, physics, photography, and anything I feel deserves a place on the world wide web.
//etano.net has gone through several permutations during its existence of a little less than a decade ranging from truly flashy to simply minimalistic (the style I currently tend to favor). For better or worse, most these permutations are not recorded, other than maybe by the internet archive. Almost all major stylistic changes usually occur when I find lacking regular activities. However, updates to the site are regular.
On a more ideological note, I believe strongly that information wants to be free. Thus, this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License, which legally allows for free copying, sharing, displaying, and distributing of the entire site and all derivative works either for non-commercial or commercial uses. You're welcome internet!
