I just clicked upgrade DRM on my Ruckus player because I was forced to (it would not let me play songs on Ruckus or crack the DRM using FairUse4WM – like I have done over the last year). Now I cannot strip the DRM on my Ruckus downloads! Please help! I really loved FairUse4WM! It saved me a ton of time.

hey Ive used your product before but recently had my computer reformated. After that i had microsoft media player 11 installed (originally had 10). After reformate fairshare cannot recover any keys this message appears when i try to recover (Extraction in progress on “Indiv01.key” 11.0.6000.6324 — Please wait.
Failed – Unable to locate encrypted code table.) then i hit ok and this pops up (Attempting to recover DRMv1 keys FairUse4WM will use a WM-Installed DLL to determine system specific information. “DrmClien.DLL” has version 10.0.0.3802) then i hit ok and nothing happens. I made sure when i unistalled windowsmedia 11 that i got rid of everything attached to it. Ive reinstalled windowsmedia player 10. ive done the steps up top but cant figure out how to 1.
Extract all the contents in the included “programfiles.zip” file into your program files directory (Overwite any existing files)
and 2. Then click start, run, type “services.msc” and look for “Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service” and double click on it, and DISABLE it.
Please help! I really enjoyed using this product and cant find another that works. Thanks for the help.

ah, yea i undid the process once i was in service pack 2, I updated to service pack 3 and then it wouldnt let me install windows media player 10. I have heard it works the same with internet explorer. If you saved the older version you are fine, but if u delete it you cannot go back to it on service pack 3.

I’m running Windows XP service pack 3 and removing DRM works for me. Of course, I did this process when my computer still had service pack 2. I guess the point is that service pack 3 does not undo anything
